DMV Spotlight on Loudoun County Abused Women’s Shelter on 3.24.2019


DMV Spotlight shines a light on the Loudoun County Abused Women’s Shelter. Guest, Dr. Judy Hanley, the executive director of LAWS explains is it the only provider of domestic and sexual violence services at no cost to victims in Loudoun County, Virginia. Dr. Hanley says the Loudoun County Abused Women’s Shelter provides a range of services from legal assistance to counseling, as well as the Resourceful Woman thrift shop to allow abused women to get free clothing and other supplies. LAWS also runs the Loudoun County Child Advocacy Center , where children who have suffered abuse can safely be interviewed. LAWS also runs a 24 hours hotline for victims and is hosting a fundraiser on April 6th, ” Dance-A-Palooza 3 ” at the Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg.
