    November 11, 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. Together with the World War One Centennial Commission, Washington National Cathedral hosts this sacred interfaith worship service at 10 a.m.

    The Washington National Cathedral Choirtogether with “The President’s Own” United States Marine Chamber Orchestra, presents an evening of patriotic and contemplative music, with stories from our returning service members and their loved ones. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required through the box office.

    Arlington National Cemetery

    The Veterans Day National Ceremony is held each year on November 11th at Arlington National Cemetery. The ceremony commences precisely at 11:00 a.m. with a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns and continues inside the Memorial Amphitheater with a parade of colors by veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries. The ceremony is intended to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces.  For more information, please visit

    The 21st annual Women In Military Service For America Memorial Veterans Day ceremony will be held this year at 3 p.m., Nov. 11, 2018. The ceremony, one of the major observances in the nation’s capital, is free and open to the public and will include formal military honors, a keynote address, veterans’ remarks and a wreath laying. We are honored to have Pamela Powers, the Department of Veterans Affairs Chief of Staff, deliver this year’s keynote remarks

    The Friends of the National World War II Memorial invites you to join us as we pay tribute to the more than 16 million men and women who served with the U.S. armed forces during World War II during a special Veterans Day event at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, November 11th at 9:00 a.m.

    As part of the ceremony, Mr. Miller and a dozen other World War II veterans will place wreaths at the Freedom Wall in remembrance of the more than 400,000 Americans who lost their lives during WWII.
